Becoming an employee...

Three weeks ago, I spent my time with my friends. Frolicking around most of the days, going out to restaurants,  planning 'friends time out' and so on. Like currents are sprinkled on the top of the cake, these days had a bit of studying to sprinkled all over them. The currents in the form of studies became more frequent as the exams approached.

Just a week prior to that I had been placed in a company. I was to become an employee once my exams were over. I found myself, categorized as a student, falling hard and fast into the category of an employee within the space of a week.

Time spent so casually, suddenly seemed hard to come by. A friend had told me that I would find it difficult to blog and I pushed this statement away with a laugh. But as days passed by, I realized that the trick was not just in finding time for the blog but also in finding something to write about.

The days in college passed by where very few days did not have something interesting cropping up.

Barely 2 weeks have gone by. I can count the number of days that I have worked with my fingers. They are so few in number.

It's different from college. People seem more serious and there are things that need to be done in time. It's when I convince myself that things have changed that things pipe up and it seems as though I have stepped into a more grown up version of my class, my college.

Things are definitely different but it's a difference that I am beginning to relish. It's a difference that drives me and gives me a sense of purpose. My only regret in the entire two weeks has been my inability to make time for my interests. But then I know, as time passes, I would be able to make more time for myself...And this drives me forward.

Looking forward to more days at work, evenings and weekends with friends and family!!! :)

  1. Good luck with your job. :-) Keep writing in a notebook whenever you get time, and post it on a weekend :-)
